Open Call for Under Your Nose (Young Male Movers and Makers aged 8 – 12)


Cork’s Dancer in Residence Programme is looking for participants to get involved in Under Your Nose a new dance project especially for boys aged 8-12. Through a series of exciting workshops Under Your Nose will explore the secret and hidden parts of Cork including the animals, plants and buildings that share our city. Workshops will take place in March and April 2017 with choreographer Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín, composer Neil Quigley and visual artist Luke Sisk. The project will culminate in a one of a kind performance at Skiddy’s Castle Plaza, North Main St on Thursday 13th April.

 

Male youths who are interested in dance and movement, theatre and creativity are welcome to apply. No previous dance experience is required. If you are interested in getting involved please send an email to Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín: corksdancerinresidence@gmail.com. Deadline 27th February 2017.

 

Under Your Nose is part of Laura Murphy and Luke Murphy’s Dancer in Residence Programme at the Firkin Crane and is in collaboration with FC/DC, Firkin Crane Boys Dance Club.
